Soccer

So Lizzy started learning how to play soccer a few weeks ago. They started a little coaching group up at our clubhouse. The two coaches (plus an assistant)are from FAU, and they've been teaching kids how to play team sports for years. They are super!!!! Very patient, very kind and funny as can be. The kids really like them. Lizzy cried the first day, and they couldn't have been nicer or more understanding. Let me tell you the tears were no where in sight last week, and after a water break Lizzy was worried that the session was over. She came up to me and said "I want to play more, tell them I want to keep playing". So cute. I'm very proud of her, and most important she is so proud of herself. Soccer is every Friday, and we both look so forward to it. Lots of fun.

Home Sniffles

I kept Elizabeth home from school today. She's congested, and just wasn't herself. We spent most of the morning laying around watching PBS, and playing card games. She is now watching Fresh Beat Band and dancing a little bit.

I really want to try and do more posting on here. I have to make a point to post at a certain time everyday or every other day. I've been busy organizing this week. I love to organize, and I usually do a big re-organization at the beginning of every new year. I will post pictures of what I've worked on soon. I also have some cute pictures of Elizabeth's new activities.

Below are pictures from our sick day:

Butterfly World

Monday was a holiday so I decided to take Elizabeth to Butterfly World. We met up with my friend Michelle, and her two kids plus a friend of Michelle's who is visiting from Atlanta. We had such a good time. The weather was perfect, and of course the butterflies were beautiful. Elizabeth is afraid of the butterflies, and of course I think it's funny. She's not hysterical afraid, but she is not so crazy about them touching her. She did really well, and ended up letting me put a butterfly on her head at one point. She's so cute (I don't think I've ever mentioned that before!!!!!).

After a couple hours at Butterfly World, some lunch and some relaxing we headed over to Michelle's house for a playdate. We love to go over there and spend time with our friends as we don't get to see them very often. Elizabeth and Michelle's daughter, Madison, always have a good time playing together. The kids wanted to bake so Michelle pulled out a muffin mix, and the three kids had a ball taking turns helping. Baking has become a tradition now at our playdates.

We had a great day, and we are now members at Butterfly World so we can go back as much as we want.

Monkey

Elizabeth and I joined some of our neighbors at the playground on Friday afternoon. It was a neighborhood playdate put on by our social director. I met some nice moms, and Elizabeth had a good time. We also ran into our neighbor, Jane, who was walking her dog. It was a nice afternoon playdate. Lizzy has become a little monkey as you will see below.

I love watching her climb and hang off the bars. I loved to do that when I was a kid.

Hair

Last night while Lizzy was eating I kept noticing her hair. Not that I've never noticed it before. I am after all the who styles it every morning. Ok, Tom has styled it many times too. He's actually pretty good considering he's a guy, and he has no hair. It's really cute when he does her hair. I love to listen to her tell him what to do, what he's not doing right, and then his replies to same. So funny! Anyway, back to my original thought......my kid has BEAUTIFUL hair. The curls and the perfect type of curls, not too tight, and not too loose. She will be able to do many creative things with that hair. So last night I noticed how very long her hair is now! I asked if she would like to cut it, maybe a bob cut or something, her reply: "no, I want to grow it really long!" I took a couple of pictures to show the length (a little).

Sickie Me

I got hit hard on Friday afternoon with a horrible flu! I spent the entire weekend in bed. On Saturday night I sweated so much that I left an outline of my body in the bed! I was either freezing or burning hot. Finally this morning I woke up feeling better. No more body aches. I'm just very congested and very tired. Thank God for my wonderful hub who took care of Lizzy, and all the household duties for me with no complaints. He is the best. I got up this morning and took Lizzy to school, and I am now resting on the couch. I'm so glad the worst of it is over. I want to get back to my usual routine.
